Vlad,

Do you know if it is possible to create/edit/delete calendar entries into Exchange Server using CDO. I am creating a VFP calendar/appointment app that needs to sync with our exchange server's calendar functions. How does the app create entries into other people's calendar? Doesn't the app need username/password or even administrator rights?

>There are no common approach for mail sending. I know it for sure because in our framework we did made an option for users to use different tools for mail sending. These could be Outlook, SMTP using wwIPStuff class library from West-Wind, MAPI ising MAPI OCX controls, MAPI using CDO (ActiveMessaging), LotusNotes automation. BTW, CDO allows to use Outlook Exchange profiles for mail sending and receiving. I also have seen once that, when Outlook Exchange client is currently opened (server was MS Exchange server), sending mail through CDO shows for a moment new mail in the Outbox that disappear as soon as mail delivered to mail server. Anyway, each different tool require different approach and routines for mail sending, even different format of attachments specifying and different separator between multiple recipient addresses, if they possible at all. I can make some recommendations here, if you need, however it will take time for me to pick up information from old application. Do you
