>Among new features for PUTM in 2002, one of them will be the introduction of the Universal Thread Dashboard. That will allow PUTM members to benefits of additional features which will be more interactive. One of them will be to benefit of the ability to be aware when specific users are online. Another one would be to fire a search with the basic parameters with one click. We would like to request your feedback to see what else you would like to be added in there.

Of course, there will probably be the ability to customize its width. But, all that will come later on. I would like to obtain your feedback on it to see what you would like to benefit of in regards to interactive options and one click features.

Michel,

IMO it's always hard to think of some really good PUTM feature, knowing that all new features could benefit to all, and knowing at the same time that not knowing the feature won't encourage for PUTM (which is obviously what you're after ;) A sidenote therefor might be that once in the so many days all should have PUTM rights for one day. First monday of the month or so. You know, I don't have PUTM, and I hardly know what I miss (main things is search-stuff which is obvious). So far the sidenote.

My PUTM dashboard feature would be this :

Once a Message is selected, reply or just view, let the dashboard show how many persons at that moment are creating Messages to the Thread, as well as to the actual Message. IMO it is a nice feature anyhow, but is also related to some "ooh sh.. another is faster", if you know what I mean. Maybe you even can show who is working on the reply by some click and a drop down or so.

It won't make the response slower, once you get the info from the other frame, parallel from the frame where the Message is shown. Right ?
Once you update some table when the user starts replying, it's only the retrieval of the ready records at the moment the frame requests for it. You'll have the (temporary) record anyhow I think.
