Al, if you are going to run a Linux web server, most VFP options fly out the window. If the W2K Pro box can run the/a web server, then Web Connection is the way to go.

If you can only have a Linux based web server, check out www.miva.com. It is a scripting language that runs and can access DBF files. Although I am not sure if it will support VFP files. Last I used it you were limited to dbIII+ compatible tables.

Another great server side language the runs on Linux is PHP. I am not sure if it supports DBF files, but I am pretty sure it supports (J)ODBC.
