The first step is ok. As for the second, it would have to be in Chatter category of VFP forum. But, keep in mind that a lot of users may see those types of posting as spamming. Especially in regards to the other request about announcing availability such as "I'm available for any contract, etc.". We don't like it as when we receive an email from a user who complain saying that such message should not be here, it means we may loose that user thus that's why we really are not in favor of such an action. After all, that's why we created those archives in order to put the content where it belongs. If everything posted in there is dupliated here then what is the goal of the archives. If duplicated content is also found, assuming such a situation, then, we may also receive complains from users about that. Users are monitoring the Jobs archive as any other archives. There is no need to post it here.

That implemented, would mean that traffic will be spreaded across both locations thus would lower the technical value of the content. That's why you won't see such a category created.

That focuses on spam. Remember that if you would post such a message in newsgroups that you would create the possibility to receive rude replies. Here, on UT, this is not likely to happen. But, one reason for that, is that we have dedicated sections for that.

That is a totally different request. For that one, to converse about different tactics for job searches could be done Chatter forum. It's totally not the same thing as posting an announcement to say that you are available.

In general, the Universal Thread is recognized for offering high technical value for his messages area where you can easily find non related thread info into various archive sections. That's one of our focuses. Bringing in messages like "I am available" does not fit well in the messages area. Keep in mind, however, that we do have categories for non technical content such as Chatter or within the Chatter forum itself. As I said, talking about way to find jobs or about the tools to use for example, is to be discussed in the appropriate categories such as Chatter forum Chatter category. Basically, we just ask users to respect that and to use their best judgment when creating new content. One of our task is to verify if the content has been created in the more proper location. If it's not the case, we'll adjust.
