>Clarion is a poor product. Their windows version is one big kludge. As of yet, they haven't bothered to develop an ODBC driver, which goes to show just how much of a joke their product is. As for the programmer not being able to establish a DDE connection, that is probably because Clarion's DDE isn't fully implimented yet.
