Title:
What does one lose if using Oracle Forms/Report Writer
I work with a client that is considering dumping VFP for Oracle. Although I can easily support the move to the database, I am leary that Oracle Forms is as powerful as what they are used to with a VFP front-end. I am also leary that PL/SQL is powerful enough to, because as we all know, there are always reports that require significant data manipulation before the final cursor is created for a report, is powerful enough to support very complex reports. I would appreciate any insight as to the limitations in using strictly Oracle development tools (Forms and report writer) as opposed to a development language such as: VFP, VB or C++.
Thanks,
Steve
