Maybe just a discussion of the client's network setup would help... I see where someone responded with a tool to analyze the network, but unless you are a network guru, what are you going to do with the results?

I have had problems with Novell sites running the Novell client. If you have this setup, remove the client software or use Windows NT/2K to do your maintenance.
