Hi All,
I've been using FoxPro and so far it has been able to do everything I need it to do. Lately, though, I've been hearing alot about the .NET platform. I would like to get the opinions of other "FoxPro" people.
Since the future of application developments seems to be "Web-based" does it make sense to put the effort into learning C# and/or other .NET languages? It seems to me inevitable that we will need to interact, integrate or otherwise need some knowledge of the .NET platform? If so, it makes sense to me that I start learning slowly now rather than have to cram when all of a sudden I have a project that requires it.
What can C# do for the user that Visual Fox cannot?
What are some of the immediate or more noticable, advantages to using C# over Visual Fox?
I know the questions are extremly broad but any input or opinions would be much appreciated.
Aloha,
James
