See some of the posts that I was involved in regarding the point system over the past month or so and you'll see that I'm with you 100% on this one also. I think the problem is in using the point system as a reward and recognition tool. I understand that it was done that way hoping to encourage use, but I think in a professional forum it's unnecessary. I mark all messages appropriately (when I have time) and do it so others can find the posts that were the most helpful and/or provided the solution. I hope that others do the same for the same reason.
