I don't know if this is a possibility in VFP, but I had a test table with 100 records and I set the reccount to 7 and when I reindexed in SDT with the pack flag set I only had 7 records left whereas if did repair the entire table was recovered. I have seen situations in FoxPro where the reccounter would only contain a fraction of the actual number of records in the table so I suppose it is possible in VFP. I do not believe that SDT's reindex function should do this to a user.
