I haven't seen this scenario, but given the corruption occurs, no further cchanges take place in the table. If there is additional data, yes, it ought to be recoverable. It does not really surprise me that Reindex does not fix the problem, A reindex in VFP does not do a pack, either. Have you tried just using the active reindex? Does it do the same thing?

You could, of course, check the header before calling SDT's Reindex, or patch the check into SDT itself.

I have seen situations in FoxPro where the reccounter would only contain a fraction of the actual number of records in the table so I suppose it is possible in VFP. I do not believe that SDT's reindex function should do this to a user.
