You've said that. But why? Sorry to be a pain, but I'm very interested in the reasoning behind your claim. When you say VB, you do mean VB.NET correct? If you mean VB6 maybe thats been where I've been confused.

Another question that comes to mind, if VB's place is database apps, what would you consider C#'s place?
