Also, with regard to putting the code in the form, are saying to create a New Method in the form, put this code in the new method, and call it from the txtBox events in the grid?

In either a form or a grid, I would create a custom method to call from the textbox. Whether I put the method in the form or the grid would depend on whether I wanted to reuse the grid on another form or not. Whatever location would insure that the code only appeared in one place (not always as easy to accomplish as to state) is where I would put it.
