Cetin,

I think I just figured it out.

I found the answer on the Crystal Reports website.

In order for VFP front-end to work with Crystal Reports using ODBC VPF tables in Crystal Reports, you must run the ODBC Administrator program which is under Programs/Files/...
The program is called odbcad32.exe

Then, you have to go to the ODBC VFP table tab and uncheck the box called
"Fetch Data in Background". The box must be checked by default.

According to Crystal Tech Support this box causes problems with VFP ODBC tables inside of Crystal Reports such as incorrect calculations and totals, exporting problems from Crystal Reports, and in my case empty reports.

This was a very difficult problem to troubleshoot and to find the solution. My solution to my problem with the empty reports was not evident on the Crystal Reports website knowledgebase. I called Crystal Tech Support by telephone and was unable to solve the problem. I figured it out on my own this morning by studying and reading problems/solutions relative to ODBC on their website.

I had to peruse about 20 web pages of ODBC worth of messages to get a clue to fix my problem. I am so relieved to have finally solved this most difficult problem.

I hope this helps some other VFP and Crystal Report and ODBC VFP table users. I also think I read it has something to do with duplicate record errors in Crystal Reports too, but don't quote me on that.

Thanks for the tip, but I went to that message # and got a blank page. I will check it again in a few minutes.
