Hi Folks;
We have in Brazil a famous phrase that says: One image be equal to thousand words..
So, as we don't have this type of resource here at UT. Sometimes, when we trying to express some feeling by some UT's subject, is usual the use of sounds/noises (in a written way, of course). But, for a alien person (of the English language) some the English noises produced in some threads looks/sounds weird for me. Please, can anyone help us (aliens guys of english) publishing a list of the more used noises with their meanings.
For portuguese we have it:
---------------------------------------------------------------
rarara - good laughter
hehe - sarcasm laughter
oops - mistake
putz - very impressed (usually negatively)
uauu - very impressed and excited
snif - crying
oohh - astonished, amazed
haaa - surprised and/or amazed
hei - calling
---------------------------------------------------------------
Brazilian/Portuguese folks.. Please help me, If I forgot of some important one..
Any Spanish/French/German help (for sounds used at their countries) will be also welcome
Buddies, let's try to break any language barrier !! :))
TIA
Claudio
