I am no expert but as I understand the relationships here goes.

The Data objects are called from the Bus objects with requests for data activities in non specific terms. The Data object has the responsibility to ineract with the Data Store in a specific way determined by the exact data store involved, whether it be FP,SQL Server, Oracle, MySql... The Data object may return XML, ADO, or Cursors to the Bus Class based upon the agreed protocol of the Bus object. The Bus object interfaces to the Gui object by way of the GUI required protocol.
