I use clear events in the UNLOAD event of my main form as well as the QUERYUNLOAD event. Unload event fires after thisform.release and queryunload fires when you select the close button at the top right corner of your form or when closed by windows. I think that you can probably use it only in unload since unload event fires after queryunload.
