You could handle this with GenMenuX (http://www.meistermacneill.com/genmenux.htm) which is a pre/post compiler for menus, but I suggest you have a look at Steven Black's INTL toolkit (http://www.stevenblack.com/). You will save yourself a lot of time and hassles.
