Everything that you mentioned is possible with the report writer, but the bar chart may be crude, unless you populate an ole object with the chart and use it in the report. We just did some really cool logo work and some fairly intricate line work with the report generator. It's only because we don't know some of the third parties out there. I wonder if you should try a third party product (I think the name Foxfire comes to mind)? Perhaps you should give it the ol' college try with the non-bar chart reports, gain a little more object experience with the report generator, and use a third party if it doesn't work on the bar chart report(s).

FYI, adding a logo is as easy as adding an ole object. Shades of gray aren't a problem; neither are lines (if they're vertical or horizontal). You can do a lot with the WHEN clause of the objects, to, say, print something in gray if it's a positive number, or in black bold if it's a negative.
