Yikes! Well, Error handling is out since it crashes without mercy. The only other thing that I can think of is to try to find an Active X control to display the picture. Since some software that you have found can display it without a problem, there may just be a control out there somewhere than can also. This wouldn't fix the corruption, but at least it would work around it.

>But how am I going to know if the file is corrupt in the first place ? I want to avoid having to make any changes or renaming every single file that I try to view. This is a system based on police mug shots and is entirely dependent on jpg files.
