Hi Gil,

Nice to see you... Here's an idea.

Contact Jim Duffy (takenote.com) and buy his training materials; this would save you a lot of time and money in having to prepare a course.

Then sit with the client for a few days, cover the material with him as his tutor, and charge your regular hourly rate for that.

Good luck!

Alex

>I have a small opportunity coming my way that is, basically, a one-on-one three to 5 day 'Introduction to Database Management.' An old client of mine, feeling comfortable with me, has requested his client use me to do this training. I can put together a syllabus, etc... but what I don't have the foggiest idea about is my charge. The prospective client is using a government subsidizing program that helps companies pay for IT training.
>What would you charge? Would you charge more than your normal hourly rate (writing up the syllabus, making the daily training plans, doing research to make sure that the offering is normal, etc... requires extra time, blah, blah, blah ) Or would you charge less considering this is the first time doing training?

Low-carb diet not working? Try the Low-food diet instead!
