Hi Elmer.
Is there a way to prevent refresh of the row pointer while doing this validation?
You can try wrapping the call to the ValidateCurrentRow method in a Thisform.LockScreen = .T. before the call and Thisform.LockScreen = .F. afterward
I am glad to hear that VFP 7 has provided a way that the programmer easily detect row changes in a grid. This alone may nudge me to upgrade to version 7 a litte quicker.
< rof,l > and < lol >. Then you should definitely upgrade ASAP. This is one of the smallest improvements in VFP 7. Personally, I am much more impressed with Intellisense, the object browser, TEXTMERGE() function, enhanced STRTRAN(), ASCAN(), and ALINES() functionality.
Now if only Microsoft could only learn to market VFP as well as they do their other lesser capable products.... < bg >.
I love VFP and it is my tool of choice. But it is not the right tool for every job. When you have only a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail, doesn't it < g >?
As far as marketing goes, I can't blame Microsoft too much for wanting to market the things that make them the most money < s >. Isn't that the American way?
