It would be interesting to put a breakpoint in one of the offending forms (if it's predictable, that is) and see what data session the table is in. I'm pretty sure that's the problem. Explaining why might be a little more difficult. Although I've seen this behavior, and it had to do with opening tables in the Load() as opposed to the DE, I dismember why it was happening. Must be too much aspartame, my short term memory needs upgrading...

Unless there is a Really Good Reason, IMHO it is best to let the DE do it's job. Or eliminate it altogether and make the .SCX into a class. By doing the latter, you get the added benefit of better instantiation speed, because there's no DE getting created.
