Someone told me yesterday, but I didn't believe it, that you can create a View with free tables. Anyone know about this? I know that you need a DBC. When I went to create a view, the view designer wanted some tables from within the DBC. So that means that the tables must then be converted to VFP type with a link back to the DBC, versus free tables like FoxPro 2.x tables.

I wanted to do parameterized views on tables, which cannot yet be linked to a DBC. We are going to be converting our FoxPro for DOS programs to VFP, but at this time, we are stuck with existing free tables in most cases.
