Hi Rex,

I don't use MM, but use VSS all the time for VFP projects involving a framework (VPM, which has its own integrated Source Control Kit that ties the IDE and the SCCAPI together) and my own libraries. The trick is to use parallel projects/directories. So, if your MM project is in c:\clients\clienta\proja, you would have such a project in VSS ($/clients/clienta/proja). And if MM was in c:\development\MM, you would have a corresponding VSS project: $/development/MM.

Now, you'd think that setting a working directory would be all that you need; but the root of VSS in directory-tree storage are showing here.

Note: the VSS projects must be created before you add the files in the corresponding directories to source control.

Note also: when you add a second project to VSS, and it also uses the MM framework files, you will get a message saying that such-and-such a file is already under source control, do you want to overwrite the one on disk with the one in source control. Answer yes to these messages. If you have a young child who like to press the Enter key, you may want to employ her/him for this task. <s> It only has to be done once for each project, thankfully.

Hank
