>>Whey you said you look at the docs, you meant MSDN and so on?
>Yeah, that or books you might have...
Fine... I´m digging a C# book here...
unfortunately, here (Brazil) we doesn´t have a Kevin McNeish to teach ".NET for VFPers". :)
>>I would also advise to start building your own documentation/log for common things.
Funny... I´ve just done that yesterday with one of those "foreach", to iterate through a DataSet. <s>
>>>I use Help Builder to store code snippets that I reuse a lot or I find while browsing news groups etc. whenever I find something useful. This has greatly cut down on the time it takes to do things and trying to refind information in the documentation that I used before <g>...
Hey, GREAT idea... I'll start to do that too... (actually, I´ll use the shareware version of Help Builder, until I gather money to pay you for the full version). :)
>>because it's searchable and allows me to put in the code I actually used in my application which is often quite different than what the docs show...
You´re totally right... I´m really tired of search through MSDN or VS IDE... There´s a lot of content there, but I don´t think that´s good arranged.
>>Maybe I'm getting old or something but I'm not really flowing in .NET without constantly looking stuff up... bad sign for a new language/environment.
Well, at least you have a strong background with C-like languages...
It´s have been hard for me to get used to it. :)
