Last time I looked the WolfePak Accounting package cost about $3,000 for the minimum configuration. Charles Wolfe is a CPA and has serveral CPAs working for him. I assume they are more in a support role than programming roll, but I not sure. Also Charles' dad is a CPA that has a successful CPA firm here in Aiblene, about 30 or so employees in all. Its a medium size firm. I met Bobby Wolfe, CPA through the Rotary Club. He is Charles' brother and works for his dad as part of Wolfe and Company, LLC. The major Accounting Firms here are Condley and Company, LLC, associated mostly with the Southern Baptist's and Davis Kinard, LLC, associated mostly with the Church of Christ.

I'm not ready to tackle a port of my app right now. It's hard enough just keeping it current with the latest version of VFP. My app is more up to date right now with a current release of VFP than it been since FoxPro 2.5, but eventually will move all procedural code to forms. This is not necessary and would add no fuctionality, but the app should have a uniform interface. However, I plan to release a version something this year, and will complete the GUI in the net release of the app.

I'm not in a postion to offer a salaried or contract position right now, but would entertain other ways in which you could contribute to the App, maybe for an interest in the company, etc. Also, I'm thinking about offering a 40% commission to resellers of the app. I'm thinking about rasing the price to around $1,200. This would give a reseller $480 in commissions plus whatever is earned in support of the app. I must say this is all kind of new to me, so any advise/directions on how to go about marketing, suporting, and distributing the app would be valuable. What is the customary way of going about this?
