Hilmar;

The reason for Universal or GMT (Z or Zulu time in the military) is for standardization. We have communities in the United States and Canada where there is no DST, and these have been on television recently. Using UT is no big deal to me – I just do the math and it takes care of itself. The nice thing about UT is I know when we are out of step with reality. My body knows when we are on DST. I feel like I do not get enough rest and am always trying to catch up with myself. :)

>>>I selected timezone "GMT-4", but I am seeing the time as if I had selected "GMT-3". It used to work correctly. We don't use daylight saving time in Bolivia, so there should be no need for me to do regular adjustments here.
>>
>>As mentioned in the doc, some members may have to change it once every six months in their account setup as we do not go dynamically for that. There are specific reasons to do it like that. So, once per six months, in your case, it's a small step to do. :)

>Of course I can make the adjustment here - but I think it is quite illogical for every user around the world to do this adjustment, if there isn't D.S.T. in his respective country. I mean, why should I change the time to "GMT minus 3 hours", if Bolivia is always at "GMT minus 4 hours"?
>
>For countries that really do have D.S.T., the user would have to make the adjustment four times a year - twice when the UT changes its time, twice when the D.S.T. changes in his country.
