The reason for Universal or GMT (Z or Zulu time in the military) is for standardization. We have communities in the United States and Canada where there is no DST, and these have been on television recently. Using UT is no big deal to me – I just do the math and it takes care of itself. The nice thing about UT is I know when we are out of step with reality. My body knows when we are on DST. I feel like I do not get enough rest and am always trying to catch up with myself. :)
