Hi Ed,

I'm back - tried hacking the registry and it did not seem to help (like the closing of the table helped). Just to make sure I am adding in the proper parameter, this is what I did - could you check it for accuracy (if you know)?

Once into Regedit, go to HKLM, then "CurrentControlSet" (this is what I thought you meant by your CCS abbreviation), then \Services then \Mrxsmb and then highlight the parameters folder by clicking on it.

Then Right-Click (RC) on a blank spot in the right hand pane and choose "New", then choose "DWord Value". Change the title from "New Value #1" to OpLocksDisabled and save. The RC on new item and choose "Modify" and when that comes up type a "1" into the input area and make sure Hexadecimal is the radio button chosen. Save the change.

I did the same steps then for the \Lanmanworkstation\parameters folder inserting a value in there.

Should that do it? Do I have to reboot? The first time I started to insert it, I ended up creating a new folder underneath parameters and I did not think that was correct so I deleted it and instead just put a new value into the parameters folder.

Thanks,

Albert Gostick
