Thanks for following up on this, Walter.

>Several people have expressed that they seldom experience any bugs in VFP7. Steven black suggested that low quality hardware and software is the cause of frequent C000005 errors.

This was directly in response to a claim that a developer finds VFP bugs almost every day. Steve did not say that there were no bugs in VFP, no one else said this either. That would be awfully hard to back up.

>From that message I read the attitude "I have no problem, so the problems are not that significant."

So, "there is no problem" gets changed to "problems are not that significant"?

Regardless, I was relating my personal experience with the product, which is very different from the picture Thomas and Jim painted about some conspiracy to cover up problems with the product.

I don't think anyone would say that bug reporting for any product is perfect, and I don't think anyone has a problem requesting more feedback on these bugs. But what I do have a problem with is this:

"I encourage everyone to stop reporting their bugs to the MS VFP Team until the MS VFP Team agrees to provide some form of feedback on bugs ALL reported."

Ironically, anyone that disagreed with this extremist position got lableled a "vocal egotistical asshole".
