>Bottom line on the whole issue, and others have already stated the same thing. If you find a bug, report it to MS if nothing else is accomplished it'll raise the count on the frequency criteria which will increase the probability that it will be fixed in a subsequent release.

It's doubtful that the "frequency count" will be raised, because the extreme likelihood is that the reported bug will not be reproducible, as amply demonstrated here many times. It may be reproducible on my machine with my configuration, but maybe not otherwise without some additional work.
This is the nub of the whole issue - that there is no way to know that a bug has been "accepted" or not.
That there is no available list is also very troublesome, especially when we had been led to believe all along that KB articles documented reported bugs. They do that, but what they don't do is document each accepted bug. There is apparently some criteria that is used to decide if a bug gets a KB article or not.

Now it can be argued that a person should do everything in their power to ensure that a reported bug is fully reproducible no matter how the VFP Team tries it. That would be darned nice except for the facts that
1) most people are not in a position to do so;
2) it can be a hell of a lot of work;
3) there's still no way to know for sure anyway.

Bug reporting/publication IS a problem and it NEEDS FIXING.
