Hi Randy

Not a bad idea - I could probably create a hotmail/yahoo account and use it
for providing to people in the future - at least this will stop all the future garbage! All I have to do now is work out how to stop the present garbage (apart from ditching my existing email account and start afresh).

Cheers

Chris

>I agree, but there seems to be no real solution to stop it. So, my workaround is thus:
> I have my own domain registerd, etc. and run my own email server. Therefore I can create as many email addresses as I want. I use two right now, with a third out there for mailing lists. One is the address I give family and friends to send me real email. The other is the address I use whenever filling out any information that requires you to provide an email address. Other then sites that require you to respond to an email to finish access authorization, I pretty much ignore what comes to that address and merely delete it every once in a while to keep from filling my server. Not a complete solution, but at least the mailbox that receives my 'important' messages stays free from junk.
> You don't have to run your own mail server for this, most ISP's around here give 2 addresses standard, back when i connected that way I did the same thing with the two addresses.
