I had confused the two!!! In terms of transfering the application SQL server seems to have far more support so will give this serious consideration. Bit wary about transporting the code to allow this as my experience with SQL server isn't great. Not sure if we even have a copy lying around the office. I will probably try sourcing some literature on this process before embarking on this route.
