For whatever it is worth, I agree with Jim. Marketing is a prerequsite to the success of VFP. I am new to programming, yet I selected VFP as my tool. Its powerful, and has a fantastic community that provides the help when you need it most. Microsoft should increase awareness of VFP, just like they do VB.
