I think you guys are being too hard on Ken.
I’m sure he has been very busy insuring that his integrity remains beyond reproach.
As he has constantly stated he will be updating the FoxPro web site to our advantage and making FoxPro more visible.
Has anyone acknowledged the fruits of his labor?
Has anyone checked out the links at the FoxPro web site?
Just look at the code samples.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/downloads/samples.aspWhy, this link has samples as recent as January of 1999
Or go the FoxPro home page and click on “developer tools” in the menu to the left.
He is probably very close to including FoxPro in the list as a developer tool.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxproPerhaps your interested in press releases? Just go to FoxPro’s press release section and your find information as recent as June of 1999
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/news/releases.aspBut remember Robert Green’s statement. "When we announced back in February that Visual FoxPro would no longer ship in the Visual Studio .NET box, we promised two things: 1) We would be on our own ship schedule and 2) We could do more marketing"
http://www.levelextreme.com/News/000002.aspKen is just elaborating on this promise. Giving us the strait up that Fox either sells on its own or there will be no marketing.
Ken is a great guy. He has been very true to his friend Alan by trying to send FoxPro programmers to VB .NET.
Come on, give the guy a chance. After all, he modified GENSCRNX fifteen years ago.
