and it is. But if that is true then isn't Oracle more powerful than SQL Server? A friend of mine deals with terrabytes of data and told me that while Oracle is up to that task, SQL Server is not.
Tom, I don't recall anyone on this thread recommending that VFP developers move to .NET. I see people say that it might be useful for many VFP developers to either learn, evaluate, and possibly use .NET with VFP (not in place of), and that includes myself. Microsoft is not attempting to move or migrate VFP developers to .NET, there is no strategy like this by me or VS .NET marketing. We feel VFP developers could benefit from using VS .NET with VFP and that MSDN subscriptions is a great savings way of obtaining VFP7, VS6, VS .NET, versions of Windows, and more.
