Jerry,

>However, the new box we are getting will be an I-Frame. I believe it's an IBM and it comes with DB2. (I am not a main framer).

OK...the AS400 isn't a mainframe either, and all the IBM product lines have me confused...does the iFrame run OS/400 or something else? Regardless, if it serves up a DB/2 database that should be all you need...

>I imagine that what you wrote about the client portion still holds true. We are planning on writting all new PC interfaces to this machine via a browser so the client should only have to be installed on our web server.

Very nice, and that should work fine!

>However, you do setup a DSN in the ODBC manager and access data via ODBC, correct?

Yes, sorry, my explanations sometimes get to detailed without giving the gist. Yes, the bottom line is still ODBC using created-on-the-fly DSN's on whatever machine is needing to access the DB/2 data (client or server). So, basically all you need to figure out is what is the minimal install you can do to get the DB/2 ODBC drivers on the machines you need. It might not hurt to call IBM sales and see what all the options are. Maybe you don't need to install full-blown Client Access Express, I just know that that is what we use...

Good luck! Once you have the drivers installed the rest should be standard ODBC stuff...
