Again, thanks for the info.

However, the new box we are getting will be an I-Frame. I believe it's an IBM and it comes with DB2. (I am not a main framer).

I imagine that what you wrote about the client portion still holds true. We are planning on writting all new PC interfaces to this machine via a browser so the client should only have to be installed on our web server.

However, you do setup a DSN in the ODBC manager and access data via ODBC, correct?

Thanks,

Jerryt

It is a full-blown client application that includes network access tools, emulators, and the ODBC drivers to access DB/2. If your people are accessing the AS/400, then they must have CAE installed at some point I would think. I am not sure if it is possible to install just the ODBC drivers, as I think the ODBC drivers depend in the CAE layer.

>Setting up CAE is as simple as running a setup.exe, clicking a few install screens, and letting it rip. Once done, the CLient Access ODBC driver will be available in the ODBC admin screen. And as I mentioned, CAE can be installed right from the AS400 as long as the AS400 has shares made available that your network can see...
