I've tested it and it works, and the memo fields did migrate..
I have VFP5 and done this test:
Tryed to open a table created with VFP5 with FoxBase, it couldn't
Then opened the table with VFP5 and..
COPY TO MITABLE TYPE FOXPLUS
Opened the table with FoxBase
Everything is OK :-)

>Yep. VFP wants to convert the memo file to Fox 2.6 format. Then it tells me that I can reverse this by using COPY TO TYPE FOXPLUS. I don't have access to the accounting package. I just have a zipped and emailed copy of the dBase files so I can't test that this conversion process would work or not. I suspect it won't, but am not sure.
