Thanks Sergey,

I copied everything from the workstation where it was working, the exe file, the vfp500.dll, the vfp5enu.dll, I also checked the msvcrt, msvcrit and msvcrt40.dll's so that they have the same version. No change.
What is worse, the installation on one of the 3 workstation now gives the same error message. It was working here before.
Can you copy this message Q163933? I don't know where to find it.

TIA,
Hans Verkoijen

>>I'm picking up this thread. I have a problem here in Kosovo where I try to install our software (executables only, no VFP) on a LAN. Our software has been created in VFP5.0A. On 3 of the 5 workstations where I installed our software, all goes well. On 2 stations I get "lpf.exe is not an object file" when starting the program. However when from the non-working station, I start the LPF.EXE on another machine, all goes well. But that's not what I want. The program has to run with the .EXE from each station. I tried to remove the VFP500.DLL and the VFP5ENU.DLL and reinstall, I even copied them from another machine or from the original VFP CD, but nothing seems to help.

>Did you try to copy exe from working machine? Did you check PC for viruses?
>Take a look also at FIX: Executable Error " is not an object file" mskb#Q163933.
