The reason I use the CR Main Report control (OCX file) is because I develop the Crystal Report first in Crystal so it can run stand-alone in Crystal with paramters. Then, I add the code to my VFP form to run the Crystal Report, that way, I can have my cake and eat it too. You can run Crystal Reports with or without VFP interface.

I do not use the RDC yet because I am converting existing Crystal Reports in most cases. I have been told to use the RDC if creating a new Crystal Report from scratch, but have not done so. I am not familiar with the RDC, although I have studied it some.
