I thought you said there was no risk in moving to .NET. You're having a difficult time keeping your story straight.
And how about this for a risk, you are making an excellent living using VFP. You move to VB.NET and now you are scraping for jobs with 3 million other developers who have also have zero measurable practical experience with the product?
Why would you move from high ground to trying to keep your head above water? And the better question is, why would you professionally make such a broad suggestion based soley on scare tatics and band wagon psuedo-reasoning, when the decision is very personal and very dependent on the individual? Have you no shame?
How many job interviews have you had for a .NET developer position anyway?
