Hi Al,
We have about 50 users that are running MFOXPRUN-based FoxBASE+ apps under XP without any problems. Sorry I cannot help you on this one. We did nothing special in XP itself to make them work. Here is our config.fp (the command line in the icon points to it) just in case it helps:
BELL=OFF
DEVELOPMENT=OFF
EMS=ON
ESCAPE=OFF
EXCLUSIVE=OFF
CENTURY=ON
MVCOUNT=1400
MEMLIMIT=80,1024,1024
EDITWORK=C:\FOXPRO\TMP\
PROGWORK=C:\FOXPRO\TMP\
SORTWORK=C:\FOXPRO\TMP\
RESOURCE=C:\FOXPRO\VFP\FOXUSER.DBF
TMPFILES=C:\FOXPRO\TMP\
_FOXDOC=""
_FOXGRAPH=""
CODEPAGE=AUTO
CPDIALOG=OFF
>A client is running an old FoxBASE+ app on new XP Pro PCs (using the runtime MFOXPRUN.EXE). Without any messing around, the app seems to work OK except that when exiting, it gets to the "FoxBASE+ normal shutdown" message, then appears to hang.

>Since this is a PITA I decided to try out the XP Compatibility Wizard. After a few attempts hacking around with various option settings, now the app doesn't work at all, even when compatibility mode is turned completely off in the shortcut's properties.
>
>Setting up a new shortcut does no good; it also suffers from the same problems. Somewhere XP is storing information on how to run MFOXPRUN.
