Hi Ken,
>So - are you prepared to say that VB .NET contains absolutly NO syntax or other language/behavior characteristics that would not be different if there had never been a VB prior to the .NET version? I don't know if MS would have added features if there was a version of VB prior to VB .NET.
Aryou saying that nothing was altered to appease the VB masses?I think this version was less to appease the VB masses but more to accomodate with the CLS.
>I have not tested (nor likely will I anytime soon) this myself - but either you are incorrect, or there are other sources with what I beleive to be better knowledge of this that are incorrect. BTW - this is not a primary reason for me as I beleive it will mostly bethe same performance wise. The IL gets interpreted at runtime by the CLR so if the IL is same then there is no performace impact.
Also, I am not suggesting that you to pick VB .NET over C#. I am just laying the facts on the table.
