Mike,

>I think you are missing the point. VFP is a great product, I've never disputed that. I am simply observing that Ken's expectation that VFP is unlikely ever to have a stronger place in the IT world is the closest thing I've heard yet to an admission that Microsoft will never allow it to be marketed effectively. If Microsoft is not interested in generating substantial revenues from VFP, it's hard to believe they will put any serious effort into supporting it, no less into further improving it. That should matter to anyone who has plans for building or buying applications and services based on VFP.

I think what Gary's getting at is that you are only an amplifier when the news can be construed as "bad", never equally so when it can be construed as "good".

It's not that in your world that the sky is constantly falling but rather when the sun is out you still think it's raining.

I would love to see you get as emotionally charged when good things happen as you do when "bad" things happen - from your perspective. Imean no disrespect and, candidly, I'm not at all convinced you're even aware of how negatively you come across.

Why not be as quick to see the good stuff as you are to see the bad stuff???
Best,

DD
