Interesting point Gary... see you're very enthusiastic about FoxPro, that's great, but find it's a simplistic way of thinking to say that upgrading to VFP 7 is the best thing one can do to the future of VFP.

I didn't upgrade to VFP 7 yet, but can say that have been made continuous "preaching" in one of my clients (and in many other places), as a result they have now two of their developers seriously involved in shifting to VFP. Now all we need is to have a little help from MS to show we're in the right path.

I think that Esther joinining the Educational staff is far better that having a handfull of new features to the product, and having this kind of support will help to bring new blood to our community. Sales? They sure will come after (new) people see VFP as a good alternative. If MS stands just in VFP upgrades, they will never see big figures ($$$).

By the way, investing in support and all other educational related things means marketing to me, as well. Aplause to MS!

Fernando
