>No, I am deleting the correct record, and what do you mean by "is 2nd private". I have not declared it as anything. The 2nd form has 2 buttons, Delete and Cancel. Delete has the Delect code i posted here. Cancel is just - thisform.release(). On release, it returns me to the calling form1.

Are you sure, you want to have the second form? In our framework we just show a messagebox with "Do you want to delete this record?" Yes/No. I don't see a reason to use a second form for simple confirmation dialog... If you want your own custom captions on messagebox buttons, take a look in Download section...
