Unless I do not understand Ken's message that simplistic way of thinking has been Ken's message - upgrate to VFP 7.0 to insure the future of the product.I can't believe that the future of VFP is depending solely on the upgrades, and think it's very simplistic to say:
"Ok, I upgraded to VFP 7, so I've played my role.".
If you noticed the context where I said
"...but find it's a simplistic way of thinking to say that upgrading to VFP 7 is the best thing one can do to the future of VFP..." you'll understand that I meant there is many other things that should be done to achieve the desired results, thus improving VFP's market share. That won't happen by just making upgrades.
I ended with
"I think that Esther joinining the Educational staff is far better that having a handfull of new features to the product, and having this kind of support will help to bring new blood to our community.". That is my modest opinion and I believe in it.
By what have been hapenning makes me understand that Ken is doing much more than just gathering ideas to implement in Toledo, and I start to feel happy about that.
