I have a question regarding data as objects. I am working with a company that creates a custom class for a database. The fields in the database are defined as properties. Is this a good idea? If not, what are the downsides. One downside I know of is that if the structure is modified, you need to modify the custom class.
For example, if you have a profiles.dbf. They would create a custom class that creates an object with all the fields as properties for that database.
