>I have a question regarding data as objects. I am working with a company that creates a custom class for a database. The fields in the database are defined as properties. Is this a good idea? If not, what are the downsides. One downside I know of is that if the structure is modified, you need to modify the custom class.

Rina,
I won't comment if that's good or not but FYI :
scatter name oName
creates an object with fields as props. and values as field values (doesn't support all types).
